Collmenter’s ERA was dragged down by his time as a starter. As a reliever he pitched to a 1.89 ERA over 52.1 innings. He’s a very valuable asset in relief for the D-backs and $1.825MM is great value.

Good for Collmenter, CMU guy pulling in the cash, Ziegler moved into the closer roll very well after Addison messing it up.

Ryan is fine as the backup and late-inning glove man, especially at $1 million. They just need to stop pretending he’s anything more and treating him at times as if he’s a platoon player.

Ryan is an excellent platoon candidate. His slash line this year against lefties was .283/.321/.453. An OPS of .774 is very good for a middle infielder. For $1mm he can cover 2nd, 3rd, and ss while hitting well against lefties.
