With the cost of mid-ranked pitching rising as it did, curious to see how it affects the next wave of extensions.

I’m especially interested in seeing how long term extensions for top pitchers with between 2-3 years of service time start to look like.

Typical twins news, we have more spring training advisors hired than free agents… (Including minor leaguers)

Good. There isn’t a lot out there that would be of much benefit to them.

The Twins spend a fair bit of money for a small market team that hasn’t been very good in a few years. They may have been ranked 19 out of 30 in payroll last year, but were only a couple million behind a bunch of teams. Their problems don’t really have much to do with payroll.

Be glad you don’t have a mope for a manager like the white sox

I don’t think there was anyone that’s better than what the twins already have in the pen and waiting in the minors, These minor league deals have worked well in the past. I would like to see them give Meyer a chance to become a Wade Davis like setup man. The potential is there. I would not have spent on any of the guys out there either.

Obviously.

I realize most of the time the small mistakes in spelling, grammar, context, etc. are easy for the majority of the readers on this site to comprehend, understand and forgive. Please consider that not everyone may have English as their first language. The sentence, “Robert Murray of Baseball Essential also recently threw for the Reds in Cincinnati.” is misleading to say the least. A little attention to detail goes a long way when trying to get your message across clearly and succinctly.

As much of a fan as I am of Arroyo, I would rather see those innings go to someone who may potentially help the Reds down the road. Reds have lots of arms to evaluate and Arroyo would just use up 1/5 of the opportunity to do so

“Robert Murray of Baseball Essential also recently threw for the Reds” – is he any good?
