I wish KC had room to bring him back to the city. At least he’ll get to play here now. Good luck JR!

Tigers have the market on has been players. They are like concrete in the bottom of a lake. Drown the Tigers to last place.

John Mayberry Jr., MLB Home Run leader two seasons in a row.
In my MLB 2k11 franchise mode.

Great game! Remember “Joe Young” in the older games?

Possibly the greatest hitter of all time!

Yes, I heard he has season tickets to Marlin games now that he’s retired along with the 2k series.

I’m happy with this move as I read it as Tigers sign “not Raburn!” This move also continues to show they mean what they say, about being done with significant signings. No Upton or Cespedes here.

Instead of spring training we now have enough senior players to play in the Grapefruit League year round. We can pay them by social security checks. AA is destroying the Tigers quicker then Obama has the USA.

Stick to baseball, leave the politics out of it (this coming from a political science major).

I agree. Raburn gives up a run a game in the field. This may be a minor league depth move. Not sure it says anything about Upton or Cespedes.

No risk signing, why not?

“Despite those struggles, however, Mayberry is a lifetime .260/.315/.517 hitter against lefties, making him a possible platoon partner for outfielder Anthony Gose.”
Any Mets fan could tell you he wasn’t even hitting lefties last year (which is exactly what we signed him for). Maybe he wasn’t used to being a bench player (played most days when he was with the Phils)

If this means we won’t bring Raburn back then I’m happy.
