mccutchen one of my favorites. not sure of the stats but to me he is great august september hitter. wish the pirates well, love to see andrew in the playoffs. if he didnt sign thru his arbitration years and beyond wouldnt he have been a free agent after 15 season?

I still say, the Cardinals should look
Into trading for Jonathan Lucroy. Splitting time behind the plate with Yadi this season could only be beneficial to both players a the Cardinals. The players could heal from their 2015 injuries at a more realistic rate. The Cardinals would always have an All-Star behind the plate. Plus, Lucroy can also play 1st base, as can Yadi…… Seems like a good deal to me!! Adams or Moss for Lucroy.

Adams/Moss straight up does not get Lucroy. Besides the fact that the Brewers would be trading Lucroy in-division (which will raise the price a bit), Lucroy is going to require at least one of the Cardinals top prospects.

There is no way the Brewers would take that deal. They want players with high upsides that are under club control for many years. Adams is under control but has yet to prove he can do anything against lefties. Moss is a soon to be FA. There is a reason Lucroy is still a Brewer. They want way to much for him. Plus I don’t like the idea of splitting time between him and Molina. If that was the case why even get Pena?

But they accepted that deal on MLB 15 The Show! Are you telling me that’s not real life?

One thing in the Pirates favor is McCutchen does not appear to be one who pursues the public stardom/fame. He always has seemed to have a lower ego in public than some of the other superstars. I have read some articles in the past where he live a frugal lifestyle and seems like he is preparing for the future as opposed to just living in the present. Does not seem to dwell on stuff. If he likes the Burgh and truly wants to stay here, he will. If he decides to go for the gusto before he retires and the Pirates can’t afford him, more power to him. Never begrudge anyone who is offered a great deal of money for what they do and the take the offer. Here is to hoping that he is happy enough to play for what the Pirates can pay him.

New Brewer GM David “Slingin'” Stearns has been biding his time with his biggest blue chips, getting excellent returns recently for Jean Segura and Khris Davis as the Brewers build their farm system into a top-ten operation. It’s all about high-ceiling prospects and team control for 6+ years. So far, so good. Eventually someone will decide to pay a lot for Lucroy in exchange for a strong run at the World Series. Nats, Rangers, Astros seem to be the leading contenders.
