Nothing about Snell?
Ry.the.Stunner
Or Lester.
AidanVega123
Lester doesn’t play in the AL East…
MB923
But he’s in the headline
MB923
Now he’s removed
wants to be a GM
Who’s not in the AL East anyway.
Ry.the.Stunner
Then why was his name mentioned in the headline (since removed)?
Robertowannabe
OOPS?
kingfelix34
Lol
dwilson10
I know he wouldn’t help as much as Fowler but Bruce would still be a pretty solid pickup
The Oregonian
Agreed. The only problem is they still don’t have a prototypical leadoff hitter.
Lefty_Orioles_Fan
Bruce could lead-off lol.
In all seriousness at least if we got Bruce, he is a natural right fielder and has a canon. I would be down with him coming to Charm City.
Or the Orioles could have a reunion with Markakis. Although, I really don’t see him coming back.
gobraves46
The Braves would give Markakis back for some mid-level pitching (Parker Bridwell, Tyler Wilson) but I don’t think Baltimore would want to eat the contract
johnsilver
I’d take Bruce on a 13m gamble over guaranteeing Fowler 33m anyway, especially if signing Fowler is going to cost the O’s that comp pick. Power plays and his would play up pretty big at Camden Yards, they only have him 1 season and seems as if cost is little more than taking on his salary and extreme low level prospect(s).
O’s want an OF who is primed and ready to regress, or already hitting the bottom? Give Austin Jackson half what Fowler just signed for. Always looked at those 2 as same types., only Jackson has been in his bottom cycle longer than Fowler now.

Why is Jose Bautista asking for too much money
jacobywankenobi 2
Ego.
The Oregonian
Some combination of greed and pride.
Robertowannabe
Many a player and agent ask for way more than they should get. Every once in a while an owner and GM are silly enough to say ok. Nothing lost in asking. When they say no and counter offer you counter back. Think that is called negotiation.
stormie
Except, he said there would be no negotiating his price. Was it a tactic? Possibly, but rarely will you see guys take a hard stance like that if they don’t mean it because you just look kind of silly then when you back down.
maccheezy
Because he’s Joey Bats…. Unfortunately he’s getting old and he’s not worth paying that kind of money for.
aff10
Poor Mark Shapiro- can’t even get his full name in the article. Just his title
terrymesmer
> Jose Bautista’s staggering asking price of move than five years and $150MM
Which is an unconfirmed rumour as yet — nothing more..
mactheknife
“Shapiro dealt with similar situations with franchise legends like Jim Thome and Omar Vizquel, he points out.”
Well, that’s one way of saying goodbye.
