I really like what the the Twins did this offseason. They acquired two players with potential in Murphy and Park while sacrificing very little and avoided a bidding war over free agents, keeping rosters spots open for young players. The Twins success will be determined by their young players, so they only needed to tweak the roster not overhaul it, I think they mostly accomplished that.

I’m happy with where we’re at… EXCEPT with the bullpen. The gap between our starters and Jepsen and Perk could turn out to be a long one. If Fien and May are at their best there’s not a lot to worry about, but I’d really have liked to see us pick someone up to bolster the pen.

Don’t disagree, I think our BP could be a weak spot, but not sure who specifically they could have gotten that’d be a definitive upgrade. The price for relievers this offseason was sky high in trade and free agency, I think it was wise to stay clear. They have good options, it’s just a matter of sorting them out and readiness, eventually the BP might become a strength of this club.

We have loads of guys that will be debuting this year and next year that look like they could be impact relievers.. it’s just a matter of surviving until then. I would have liked to see them hang on to Cotts.
Other than that, they took the right approach this year by letting our existing options in the lineup and rotation work themselves out this year. before doing something too drastic — we’ve waited too long to get to this point to ruin it with a bunch of trades and signings. I’m glad we hung on to Plouffe.

Grade “A” FREAKING MEN!! And that’s just for the acquisition of Park Byung-ho, thank you Twins, now I can watch some of your games via SPOTV channel this year.

I really like this team. People tend to forget they were down to the wire for the second wildcard spot last season.
I think starting off hot is really important. They need Park, Buxton and Murphy to be contributors almost right away. None of them have to be superstars, but you’re only going to get so much out of Mauer and Murphy these days.
Sano is really good but he might regress a bit over the course of a full season. Even a slightly regressed Sano is still really good though.
I’m not as certain about the pitching. I think (if they’re competitive) they might need to grab someone in July like the Royals did last year with Cueto. Either that, or hope that Berrios pitches like Luis Severino did after he was called up.
Anyways, this is my darkhorse team in the AL Central. The only team in the division that I think is better than them is Kansas City. After that, the 2-5 spots are all up for grabs.

Pretty good off season for the twins, but I really think dealing hicks instead of plouffe is gonna look like a bad call. Extra pressure on Sano and serious downgrades defensively.
Still, should barrios pressure himself into the rotation these guys could contend.

Continuously bumping these offseason reviews is making using this site semi-miserable.

Yeah, they are kind of a wall. Perhaps just a post with a link to each of the teams that have been done that they could bump and update as they go would be better.
