“The Royals have an offense that rarely strikes out, a strong bullpen and one of the game’s best defenses, ”
One of the games best defenses? Name me a team that’s even close……in the last 20 years. This team has superior defenders at all positions – with the possible exception of Infante, and he’s still solid as long as his shoulder holds up.
This is a very unique team that I don’t think most fans or critics get. They are the most fun team I’ve seen in years. People I talk to around the country about baseball all say something to the effect of, “I like the way the Royals play baseball”. Lucky to find 3 guys on a roster with a high baseball IQ today. The Royals entire roster seems to have it. Going to miss them when their run is complete.

What they lack in greatness they make up for with being simply good, everywhere. The team is definitely greater than the sum of its parts.

I still wouldn’t mind seeing em take a stab at a trade midseason for another Cueto type, The Royals certainly have the prospects do it again Almonte, Eibner, Bonifacio, Cuthbert, all guys that could play Major League ball today but there just isnt any room
