Braun to Oakland needs to happen, he’d be perfect in LF and maybe RF if Reddick leaves via FA.
thecoffinnail
You honestly think Oakland can afford Braun?
dstuart
That is a wet dream. But I’d most definitely bolster the bullpen and maybe add a back end rotation piece before throwing prospects for Braun.
McGlynn
Although he can veto a trade to the giants, I can see that he’d make a great fit there. Imagine how stacked the lineup would be with Braun in LF.

The Yankees ought to sell, even if they are on the fringes of contention. They need to be younger and more athletic–many of the vets are no longer very productive players. They have some younger talent and prospects, and the best thing they can do is collect more, and leverage their finances in the next couple of off-seasons. There’s no shame in having to retool. Better sooner than later

So, to summarize- the Angels don’t have the pieces to get Braun, and don’t want him anyway. Other than that, he’s a great fit.

They also can’t afford him. Yes great fit……
ryanw-2
Actually they can afford him it’s just a matter of whether or not they would want to go over the luxury tax for him.
ryanw-2
Braun would be a salary dump. In fact this is the kind of move that would probably require a major league player in return. I doubt any team would want to just give up their top prospects for that contract and the baggage.
biggjdizzle
Keep that juicing POS Braun out of Anaheim.
khalifa
Perfect for the Nationals. Send Werth to Milwaukee and eat his contract. They are off to a great start, but pitching and Harper can’t do it alone. They have a deep farm.
khalifa
If they gave up on D’Souza, Taylor can be bait.
Gogerty
Funny thing is, when I mentioned trading Braun a month ago reactions were “No way Brewers trade Braun.”
Hank Murphy
Removing Sanchez from the rotation is putting up a white flag on the season. Only a moron would remove your #1/#2 starter from the rotation.(I have more confidence on Sanchez shutting down the opposition than Stroman or Estrada) Why would you have an innings limit on Sanchez and none on Stroman? Stroman’s got 40 more IP in his career and that’s all.
angelsforever
Braun NEVER becomes an Angel. Artie Moreno dont like Jews or Roids.
Kilter45
that’s the stupidest thing i EVER heard of…taking Sanchez out of the lineup…who are you going to replace him with….the batboy…Hutchins…I’d go with the batboy personally!

Mets should consider a Harvey for Miller or chapman deal . Once wheeler gets back , we would have 6 starters . Harvey has become less of a fan favorite than the others . I personally love Harvey , but there’s probably no chance he signs a long term deal with the mets .
