Feel bad for Harvey. Its tough seeing one of the most dominate pitchers of this generation struggling in his prime. Harvey’s 2013 season had to be one of the most exciting performances I have ever seen in my 23 years of being a Met fan.

Lol mets fans.

Ok, 2013 was awesome and he has a lot of talent, but calling him a generational pitcher is pretty extreme..

I did say “One of the most dominant” I didn’t say he was the most dominant. Saw every single of his starts that season and dominated pretty much every single time. Probably would have been a even better season if he had more run support and a better defense behind him but you can’t blame him for that.

I was a Shawn Kelley fan before the draft and grabbed him in both of my NL-only keeper leagues. Since its a good practice to spec on saves, I really felt that he was a logical choice as closer in ’17 &’18 with PapelBum out to pasture. I’m hoping it works out.

And he’s at a super reasonable price as far as closers would go.

So glad Preller didn’t think Kelley was worth 3/$15 MM. We wouldn’t want an effective pitcher like him at the backend of our bullpen. That would interfere with our ability to stink as a team and we might have won 4-5 extra games and been a mediocre team instead.

Wouldn’t put that one on Preller… I doubt Kelley would have signed with SD for anywhere near the 3/$15MM that he got to help WAS legitimately contend for titles.
