By the end of NEXT season I could see Stanton on one of the following teams: Tigers, Blue Jays, Dodgers, Pirates, Cardinals, Red Sox, Diamondbacks. Long list, I know. But teams that can afford him financially and have the assets and one team (Diamondbacks) who are willing to make big moves.

He has a no trade clause
angrypoptart99
Would love to see the jays replace jose bautista with him, and resign edwin encarnacion. I do think stanton beeing traded to the jays is unrealistic. Even with those numbers everyone knows he has mad power so he is not gonna be cheap
MB923
Pirates can afford him? I assume they have or will have a huge TV deal
padam
If Wheeler comes back strong, Harvey is gone. I’m sure teams like the Dodgers, Astros, and Red Sox can offer up the prospects to get it done.

Hi every one you all have been tell Braves fans that one julio Tehran is not number one and at best low 2 more like a 3 or 4 so I going to give you 2 stat list not putting the names but using letters to display different first what most people will say are career #2 pitchers and the second will be what most people would say are aces -Number 1 pitchers / y=year in majors= GS = games started .Cwar = total career war .contract total money in contract
Arb = year to arb ready and f.a = is when they will be free agents . I think you will be surprise when you find out the career numbers of 1 the #2 and 2 the ace around baseball compare to julio Tehran
List 1 is of number 2

Now see if you all can figure out who any one on either one on list are . I think you will be surprise who is who
MB923
“I think you will be surprise who is who”
I would be surprised if anybody can even read any of that and put it together. Exactly how much time did it take for you to make that?
bravesfan88
It is a bit difficult to read, but excellent, excellent job!! Well done bud, and yeah the hate on Teheran is real lol…
He has turned the corner this year, but those who don’t actually watch him pitch only have stats to go by…Teheran has consistently been a guy to out pitch his advanced metrics, but of course people just assume he is lucky and will regress…
He has been one of the better pitchers this year, and each game he goes out and shuts down the opposition. And we are also talking a out a kid that is only 25!!! He isn’t even in his prime yet, and is still learning his craft. He will get even better, and I think this season is easily just a sign of things to come!!
TBaggins
I’m assuming English is not your first language.
cjh815
The reason I did it was because all you stat geeks through out number and I’m old school guy and decide to through your number back at you to show you that you all don’t realize who is who if you didn’t see names and you just had to look at there number and try to figure out who you think are best pitchers truly are the media and the radar gun doesn’t make you great pitcher so take time look at numbers and if you want to know who each of them truly are then I post the answers
PhilliesFan012
Your grammar is absolutely atrocious.
tennreed
The numbers are still the numbers, they tell the story regardless of the names those numbers are attached to. Your point is moot…you can look at those numbers and see who is good and who is not; the player’s names should not really come as a surprise if someone really is a stat geek, as you put it…because those numbers don’t exist in a vacuum; they ARE attached to a player’s name. And what exactly does old school mean anyway? You mean like a scout looking at a player and saying he will be a superstar? Because I’m sure we all realize that the eye test is a test that more often than not fails miserably…which is the reason statistical analysis began in the first place…so again, I’m not really sure what you are trying to get across with the ridiculously long list of numbers you posted, but I think you may need to rethink both your argument itself and the way you presented it.
cjh815
Take time scroll down each row it not hard it just take iq and attention spand . bigger and longer then 5 year old to do so
MB923
You’re becoming worse than bigpapi4ever
jleve618
At least he makes me laugh. Between the formatting and the grammar all I see is someones wasted time with this. I’d have to get out a pen and paper along with some aspirin to decode that.
O Conchobhair
I take it you’re being ironic referring to old ‘school’?………..
Selkies
Woah, I’m not touching that.
cxcx
The Mets drafting pitchers this year in no way would lead to an increase in likelihood of them trading Harvey soon as those pitchers won’t be ready to contribute soon. It maybe increases the likelihood they won’t re-sign him in the years, but it was already unlikely they’d re-sign him.
LordBanana
You’d think baseball writers would know how long it takes to develop prospects and the coin flip they are anyways. Any GM that worked like that would be out of a job fast.
williemontanez
Marlins need to trade Stanton and give that money to Fernandez
