Good lord, FINALLY. Dude could have arguably been a contributor right out of college

Should be a solid contributor for the Astros for the final few months.

Great move by the Astros. Now let’s make a move for a lefty out of the pen to make a push. Sipp was overpaid and isn’t going to be pitching in any games in the postseason. Any thoughts out there besides Will Smith or a few of the unproven arms from Atlanta? I think the offense should be set now plus you add Guerriel and they can piece the 5 spot in the rotation internally.

The left handed specialist not being addressed in free agency thing really didnt make sense because Sipp is better against right handers. I know they considered Will Harris a guy they would use vs lefties. Obviously that cant be done right now. Though I see Harris losing the job to Giles pretty soon.
Jake Mcgee probably can be had for pretty cheap considering he is a rental. Pitching in Colorado really has decimated him. His road numbers are pretty good. He is pretty nasty when on. Not much talk about Mcgee… surprising to me.

The Astros bullpen ERA has been very good and it’s not like lefties have been hurting them. While it’s nice to have a lefty specialist, it’s better to have all around great bullpen.
Last year, the Astros traded for Oliver Perez (I think) and he wasn’t that useful.
