When I heard Kuhl left his start thought of WiliamS. With the way he has been pitching might be a great option right now
jimmyz
I’m sure he’d be in the MLB rotation if he was still in the Marlins organization

Austin was injured and took a long time to recover to the point where he could hit without wrist pain.
Probably worth a mention,
He should be playing first in the majors right now given what Tex has done all year.

I wouldn’t say it’s likely they sell Beltran. They had to make up so many excuses just to justify the Chapman trade. The only people they are kidding? Themselves.

I’d love to see Beltran traded to a team that makes the playoffs. Arguably best playoffs hitter ever

I truly don’t think it’s a case of being delusional. Where’s the value of stating to the world that everything is for sale and that we’re giving up on the season? I think Cashman and the other evaluators are smart enough to know, that while mathematically we’re alive, we would be extremely lucky to get past the 1st round if we even made it to the playoffs.
I would be shocked if Beltran and Nova made it to August 1st. The Yanks should be actively trying to move Miller, Gardner, Headley and if humanly possible, Sabathia, Arod and Tex and just eat the money (although I think Arod would actually be a good influence with the young players, as odd as that may sound)..

Jeff Locke is not banished to the Pen. he is due to make a start this week in fact.. he is a fine back end starter.. but he’s been forced to be more than that due to injuries and some horrible performances from others on the staff.
Niese is banished to the pen… It really wouldn’t surprise me if a trade partner isn’t found he just is let go.
Pirates MLB starters this year.. Cole, Liriano, Taillon Locke, Niese, Glasnow, Kuhl, Voglesong, Boscan, Brault and Nicasio.
Of those 11, three of those (Glasnow, Kuhl, Voglesong) are on the DL. Two. (Nicasio and Niese)are in the Pen. Boscan was tried and is back in the minors.. Brault brings way too many lefties (once Niese, Locke or Liriano are gone he should be here more consistently)
That leaves Cole, Taillon, Liriano and Locke for the next week or two.
If/when the rotation is healthy then yeah probably locke to the pen if a trade partner isnt found.

Brewers have Kylo Ren?
statmaster96
The Brewers had a Star Wars night earlier and I’m pretty disappointed that Wren wasn’t on the team for that game
