If you can’t figure out what it means you should probably quit being a baseball fan.
No Soup For Yu!
I don’t think that’s what he was saying…at all.

Ribbies is baseball jargon. Come on u gotta love it. Lol.
Kayrall
I like the nod to the outdated method by which players are evaluated. This process definitely needs an update.
hamelin4mvp
Please. Just not WAR.
BoldyMinnesota
Why not, it’s a way better talent evaluator than some of these dinosaur stats
Cam
Don’t be scared of progressive understanding.

WAR is much better at evaluating a players worth than RBIs or pitcher wins, both stats that are highly paid in arbitration.

It makes sense to extend Bogaerts as soon as possible while a team friendly extension is still possible
mookiessnarl
It may make more sense to wait and see if he drops Scott Boras at some point and switches to his brother as an agent. Otherwise that deal would be astronomical.

All for that and for the Sox signing some of Jair’s kid’s. even if they are not very good. They have 2 DSL teams and have to fill them every year, most of those guys only get chump change anyway.. Build some good will and keep on towards the path they both have mentioned.
I’m mainly with a Bett’s extension right away tho. He’s the impact player short and long term of Betts/Boagaerts/Bradley, probably cost the least and best of the bunch as well. Like to see Dombrowski should go after him, but hopes probably stopped when Cherrington left, he was the guy who locked up kids, or him and Theo.

I wonder what it’d take to lock up Bogaerts and JBJ (and Mookie) long term. It’d be great to build around a youthful offensive core and get some salary stability to add pitching, maybe.

Thought Davis power numbers would take a huge dive going to Oakland but he has not only kept them but improved he is a serious power hitter that is good enough to make you ignore all the strikeouts he can hit them out of any where,
Sixersfan4
Khris Davis is underrated
http404notfound
The article states that Bradley’s .509 is out-slugging all of the other players listed. Incorrect. At the start of play today, Khris Davis is slugging .530.
Sky14
“And he’s a good bet to clear 100 RBI with 82 already on his ledger.”
“he is actually out-slugging everybody else named in this post (.509), JBJ is tied for the lead in ribbies (72)”
72 ribbies > 82 RBIs
Actually the whole open sentence to JBJs part confused me, he’s not leading in RBIs or slugging.

Predictions (even ranges) of the guys’ salaries would have added a lot to the post.
