How do you NOT use Peraza? The Reds are buried and you need to see what this guy can do. At worst, he’ll be facing MiLB pitching in September anyway, since rosters expand in a few days. Why they sent him down and didn’t deal Cozart at the trade deadline is beyond me… especially since they traded off Frazier for him in the preseason. They are a terribly- run organization.

First, they aren’t going to hand a “prospect” a starting spot over proven major leaguers who are performing well – that is a good message for the organizational to send. If he were a prospect on the level of Kris Bryant, Benitiendi, etc. the Reds might give him a spot but he’s not on that level.
Secondly, he has been playing everyday since he got called back up.
Lastly, what is the rush with Peraza? The rest of their “almost ready” top position prospects(Hererra, Senzel, Winker) are a year or two away.

Seen Senzel at Dayton a few times. Kid can rake. Would probably be a league average third baseman right now. Could b a very good building block in cincy if they don’t screw it up, like they always seem to do
