Back to the BREWERS! Get rid of Elmore. Sign through 2017 we need CF. Come back and be a allstar!

Back to Brewers. Braun Gomez Santana outfield. Sign him for 2017 rebuild stock then trade back to Astros

I’d like that

Tigers payroll is pretty maxed out, but I’d like to see them role the dice if they can afford it.
falconsball1993
Maxed out? How much do you think they will sign someone who was granted release waivers??
vvadnala
Wouldn’t mind the addition, however Ausmus did say that Maybin could be returning sometime next week.

I would love Carlos Gomez as a 4th OF. He would probably make the league minimum, similar to Salty, so tigers would be off the hook for his contract. No risk, possibly huge reward down the stretch.

wonder if Houston wishes they had kept Hader and Phillips? BOINK
tsolid 2
Boink what?? Phillips .224 in AA
tsolid 2
Hader 5 era in AAA

Pitching in the thin air in Colorado Springs. It doesn’t mean anything.
tsolid 2
That’s right, you don’t have to get guys out pitching in thin air
BoldyMinnesota
At least they didn’t trade him for bud Norris lol

Yeah how we got those 4 players for Gomez and fiers I’ll never know. Gomez sucks. He has a career halting injury. Mets caught it a recinded their crappy offer of wheeler who still isn’t back and the top piece. Then Houston said we’ll give you even better players! Lol. Oh and hader has an under 1.00 era in Aa. We need to start considering keeping players down at double a til we bring the pitchers to the majors

Tigers really ought to look on him. They picked up Salty in a similar situation and have received pretty solid power and walk numbers from the dude.

I don’t think think he’ll clear the A.L. – especially the Blue Jays or Red Sox.
A TwIndian or Angel spot would work well, also.
The Astros mismanage very well, by the way.
My apologies to Ron Roenike – that’s tough for me to say, too.

A team not on the list that would be a good fit is the Orioles. With Rickard hurt and Remold innefective they could use another outfielder, especially one capable of backing up center for Jones. The outfield defense is pretty decent but having Gomez as the fourth outfielder makes a lot of sense. He might not get every day at bats but he will at least be given an opportunity to play with a contender in a favorable park to re-establish value. The Orioles won’t have to give up much and if he can regain any life in baseball they could have the inside track at signing him next season to replace Trumbo. Low risk with the pro rated minimum salary and potential high reward for both.
I cannot understand how he could have such a drop off though without being suspicious. We forget sometimes these guys are human too so it could also be a anxiety or mental holdup which we have seen players overcome and succeed but have also seen guys lose their minds. Maybe even a personal thing like lost loved one or taken by a gold digger. Who knows but he has way to much talent to be given up on yet.
