Chris Carter to the Cardinals would be a good move,
Derek Norris to the Rangers, De La Rosa or Santana to the Mets maybe, Rockies should snag any bullpen help.
Matt Galvin
Rangers have Lucroy at Catcher. Their will be moves this month.

Oh yeah I keep forgetting that, Maybe the Braves

With Moss healthy and hitting well, The Redbird don’t need Carter or his strike outs. Maybe they can get Hellickson from the Phils.

Not sure why the Red Sox would need a catcher. Leon is tearing the cover off the ball.

Absolutely! Sandy is very happy in Beantown! And with the killer B’s batting in front of him he’s got runs to knock in. He’s also able to show off his skill behind the plate. And next year Swihart will push him to be even better.

Ryan Howard has been on absolute fire in August. 10 for 20 with 10 RBI.. He is seeing the ball incredibly well.
Good pickup for contender..
ray_derek
Do you work for the Phillies?

Ryan Howard has been red-hot as of late. .349/5/16 over his last 16 games. He’d make a great PH option for a contending AL club. Maybe catch lightning in a bottle.
Matt Galvin

McCann and Gardner will be moved if not now in the winter. McCann has the 6th best WAR over the last three years at catcher and Gardner is 7th for leftfielders, he can also play center.Gardner also has a reasonable contract. Both should bring the Yanks some more good prospects to rebuild. The focus will be on young starting pitching like Allard, Newcomb, Fried, Clevenger, Povse, and Wentz. The Yanks will have to pay down McCann’s contract a bit to get a top prospect or two, maybe 10 million.

Since you mentioned several braves minor league prospects in your list of young starting pitching you may theorize that Atlanta might be McCann’s most likely destination. I like you could see it IF (and only IF) the Yankees would pay a large portion of McCann’s salary down. But in all honesty as much as I like McCann I don’t see the Braves going that route.
Then there is the rumor that the Yankees originally requested BOTH Inciarte AND Foltynewicz in return. Jon Heyman has since changed his post now to say “two young players’ but multiple accounts point out that he originally listed both Foly and Inciarte as what the Yankees desired. I can only hope if that was true that Coppy felt better after his stint of rolling on the floor laughing his head off.

ATL has no interest giving up their hard earned young pitching for either of these guys.

If the Padres promote Hedges for more than 17 games/days, they lose a whole year of control with him. It would have made sense in July, but at this point, I doubt they “throw away a whole year”. Besides……..Hedges doesn’t have a long history of “raking at the plate”…..Has he figured something out?…..or is it just a “good run”?………..(or is he getting some “help”…?)

Time to move on from Gardner and Headly. Dead weight, dragging us down.

Yanks will have to pay all but 5 mil to get rid of McAnn. He’s damaged goods, his left hand, right shoulder just haven’t come around and can’t get around on a breaking ball, especially left-handed. It’s old news. Gardner has lost about a step and a half, but he’s still a good, not great fielder. He needs a hitters park, like Baltimore or the Rangers, maybe Cincinnati.
