Jeff I wouldn’t say Dickerson is incapable of hitting LHP. I would say he has struggled greatly. But his overall year has been just bad. A .250/.274/.326 can be salvaged next season. His OBP just needs to be fixed

Catcher, bullpen, and a corner outfielder are their needs. Infield is set. Rotation is set. New manager should be a priority too.

I don’t think Cash needs to go. Guy has dealt with some battered line ups and bad breaks.
ducksnort69
He is bad. The first year I was willing to cut him some slack, but he makes too many bad moves. The bullpen suck is not all his fault, but he most definitely made a bad pen worse. The contrast of going from him to Maddon is huge.

Completely agreed!! Anyone defending Cash has just seen a handful of games. I had to laugh the other day listening to Stu defending Cash when he said that Maddon had his struggles early. Cash has by far a much better team than Maddon did. I typically attend 10-12 games a year and have not gone to a game since August of last year and won’t be back until this clown is gone.

While the other manager is thinking about his next 4 moves cash is thinking about his next handful of seeds

Thank you. You need a great manager to overcome the deficiencies

Concentrate on the up the middle core.

I still don’t understand why the Ray’s haven’t traded from their SP glut to address areas of need. I get that you can never have too much depth but the organization seems to have an orchard where they grow young arms. Kind of similar to COL and talented OFs.
Trade from your strong areas in order to improve
Steve Adams
They traded Matt Moore to get a player they hope will be their everyday shortstop for the next four seasons in Matt Duffy.
gogoblue
We know about Moore trade. The Rays should trade another SP for their needs. C, Corner OF, and RP are the priorities for them. Snell is untouchable. Cobb just returned from TJ surgery, so he has no value. I wouldn’t trade Archer unless some team offers Shelby Miller package, so he stays too. One of Smyly or Odorizzi should be traded to fill their needs. Odorizzi would net better returns, so I would shop him first.

I know insane

Don’t trade controllable starters ask the gm in Houston how that’s works out
gmflores27
Unlucky team that doesn’t look to bad on paper. Should add a few low-key good positions players ie a Danny Valencia
ducksnort69
Personally, I think the manager accounts for some of the “bad luck”. It seemed like Maddon was able to assess players and situations effectively and Cash is mostly ineffective. Maybe he will improve, but his learning curve is not helping.

God, you know, I’ve never heard this before! Have you been under a bridge with this info the whole time?

Stop it they got far away from the mission statement which was great defense great bullpen young strong starters mets scooped up Rivera lonely and Cabrera. They understood defense Good luck boys in the playoffs

Sorry you can’t duplicate fans from all the long histories of Cubs yanks sox giants cardinals etc
pscottn
The Rays haven’t had a long term good hitting catcher in their history. To be successful, the Rays need to be strong “up the middle” : catcher, shortstop, center field.

Keven kiermier. Hickey. And. Snell are the only untouchables in the organization. I would say longoria but his value will never be higher than right now.
