I agree totally with Halo Headquarters. Trout is totally being wasted. I guess the whole Pujols thing was an attempt to build around him but it didn’t work as predicted by many on this site years ago.
But really does anyone think that the Angels would trade Trout? If I were him I would request a freaking trade if they couldn’t convince me of a plan. He’d be doing the right thing for himself AND the team. The chunk of prospects they would get for him. Wow! I don’t even know that there is enough prospects in anyone’s system. I suspect you’d probably have to take Pujols in the deal. Oh man that would be one hell of a trade!
ripperlv
Yeah, maybe the Cubs could trade for him.

I think the Red Sox could put together a good offer for Trout. Start with JBJ and E-Rod and then Moncada Benintendi Kopech and probably one other prospect
Philliesfan4life
Cubs and Boston have the best talent in my opinion that could make a great package for Trout.
Cubs: Almora + Happ + Edwards and somebody else
Red Sox : Im asking for Betts or Benintendi and Moncada then Owens or E-Rod
BoldyMinnesota
You’ll get a lot more from the Cubs. They’d have to include some mix of Baez, schwarber, soler, Hendricks, or contreras plus some top prospects. Bostons package would be dependant on if betts was included or not. If betts was included, it might only take a couple prospects. If not, you can say goodbye to that farm
astros_fan_84
I’d love for the Astros to get him. They have the prospects, but there’s no way he’s going to be traded inside the division. However, if the Astros offered Bregman plus prospects, I think it would be feasible, but I know it’s not happening.
Philliesfan4life
I don’t think the cubs would include Schwarber in a deal for trout, I think Almora + Happ + Baez and maybe edwards or rondon would get the deal. I’m not a GM.
staypuft
So wait, you say the Red Sox would have to include a star (Betts) but the Cubs wouldn’t?
BoldyMinnesota
No I said the Cubs would have to give up young talent plus a lot of top prospects. I said a Boston deal would be dependant on if betts was included or not. If he is, less would need to be added.

Angels better just go into rebuild mode. This team is mediocre
Philliesfan4life
Is it worth trading trout?
CursedRangers
They have such a meager farm system. Coupled with a lack of high caliber free agents, 2017 will likely be another tough year for the Angels. However they have a ton of money coming off the books so I could see them making another run before Trout becomes a free agent. They should keep him for another 2 years and then evaluate their options.
ryanw-2
Not really. Top half of the AL offensively. Any team that loses a full starting rotation and their setup man and closer is going to fall apart. They can rebuild and contend at the same time.
angelsinthetroutfield
Agree with Krol. With better luck health-wise and some clever offseason additions this team can contend in 17.

Also, what’s MLBTRs infatuation with Halo HQ? Maybe it’s just me but their articles strike me as poorly written and uninformitive.
Check out Halos Heaven every once in a while. Good Angels community over there.
