Schoops subpar defense? Your out of your mind
mstrchef13
Not sure it said anything about Schoop being a subpar defender.

Everyone else can walk but Baltimore is doing their fans an injustice if they don’t offer Machado 15 years/$500M.
gomerhodge71
15 years would be absurd for any player. Recent history has shown that even the 8-10 year pacts generally end up as failures (with 1 or 2 exceptions). I would go maybe 8 tops, but that’s me. I would personally never go more than 5-6 with a pitcher, but that’s why I would never want to be a G.M.

15 years!!! That is insane and you call it it an injustice if they do not. If he was a free agent he would have zero 15 year offers on the table. And $500 million is insane

No one will pay $500 million for Machado.

After signing Darren O’Day to four years, they may have cold feet about extending Britton, at least until they see what next year brings.
Lefty_Orioles_Fan
Why should the Orioles want to sign someone who can daydream at times like Machado?
He was corkscrewing with his swing at the end of the season.
He did not outplay Donaldson like he should have
15 /500…. no thank you.

I can’t see the O’s letting Machado or Britton get away.

Future Yankee Machado is not signing an extension.
One Fan
He will sign one if some idiot from Baltimore listens to the advice above and offers the ridicolous 15 year $500 million
RoadRunner1938
Machado will not sign he will hit free agency then get paid!

Out of the 4 mentioned, the only one I see the O’s not extending is Britton. They will give Machado what he wants and if he stays Schoop stays. Machado has also stated how much he wants to stay in Baltimore. Those two are also players the O’s can build around. And with their pitching problems, they know they have to keep Tillman around since he is their “ace” right now. They will end up trading Britton once he gets to the point where they don’t want to pay him as much as he wants like they did with Jim Johnson.
joeflaccosunibrow
They traded Jim Johnson because he could only pitch batting practice. Nothing was getting by any hitter.
mstrchef13
He got his sinker back thanks to Roger McDowell, who seems bound to be the next pitching coach in Baltimore.
Cruzanconfusion
Would Machado sign a deal at 9/346.5, that’s a AAV of 38.5
