With Leone and Guerrero both being claimed, Castillo and Reinheimer are all Arizona has left from that Trumbo deal. Still better that what the Mariners got for him from Baltimore.

Beef Wellington has been tremendous for the D’Backs. Really hoping that they can sign him to a long-term extension.

Guerro has lots of power, if only he could hit for more of an average. I hated when we traded him.

Sampson could be a strong claim for somebody. He was 1% below average in the bigs last season and has great k numbers.
I love the Guerrero claim too. Can’t believe he was exposed to waivers.

Sampson quietly had a pretty strong year in AAA, with a 1.88 ERA this year in 62.1 IPs, with a 0.947 WHIP. I hope he clears waivers and stays with the Reds.
Ramon Cabrera hit fine as a third string catcher – better than some of the other catchers who float around the waiver wire during the season – but he’s always been regarded poorly as a defensive catcher, and on pitch framing. It’s nice to see the Reds now prioritize such things. I mean, I doubt Graterol was claimed with the expectation of hitting a lot better. Despite his flaws, I think Ramon Cabrera could be an upgrade for a bunch of MLB teams.

Guerrero seems like he still has some promise. He is only 22 at AA. I say a solid waiver claim for the Reds even though he hasn’t done well at AA and is a couple of years from being a major leaguer.
