Interesting notes about Infield Fly Percentages. Is that a stat that often will regress back to the mean or does it stay fairly consistent year to year for pitchers with above average IFF rate?

It’s a repeatable skill check out someone like Marco Estrada

If I was GM of the Rockies, I would sign Romo. The low exit velocity is key.
Dock_Elvis
Is there a true difference in exit velocity differences? If thats Romo….and hes sawing guys off….hes your guy….your setup to Otavino maybe. Id want to see spray patterns though….cause if low exit velocity is causing texas leaguers in Coors…you’ll need some outfielders with legs to come in. Romo at his best buried the ball.

Actually, if I’m a gm…I think I want to keep young contollable arms out of that 9th inning spot if feasible because of arbitration concerns. A guy can make 10m pretty quickly.

It’s nuts to think holland is that good still. Blanton is very underrated
floridapinstripes
If it wasn’t for the playoffs he would get more credit.

Anybody know about any news on Chris Capuano? Hope to see him back in a bullpen
ericl97
lol he’s done
MatthewBaltimore23
I think Holland is the best one. Look back to the last time he pitched in the bigs- when he was the Royals closer that was the center of their World Series bullpen.
I wonder if Feliz could sign back with Texas-I think he used to pitch there, as I have a 2011 or 12 Allen and Ginter Feliz autograph baseball card.
Travis’ Wood
Yes but he’s coming off TJ unlike everyone else on this list
chesteraarthur
if teams were positive he was gonna be the same pitcher he was before his injury, he would’t be a free agent still

Boras wont allow another showcase. In November Holland was topping out at about 91. I suppose they just played out the reliever market until he was kind of top dog to create some competition. Many have him going to a Brewers or Reds to rebuild value….or Rockies because they might be creative on a two-year. But I wouldn’t discount the Dodgers. Not a huge outlay for them with serious upside and Holland would have that contender he might wish to play for.

The highest ceiling one is obviously holland, but the one who will be best next year is likely Blanton

I think Feliz would be a really nice signing for the Padres, I know the two sides have had discussions but it would be a really good fit if they could get a deal done.
