Hey Tim,
What are the chances of the Braves signing Gomes, I just don’t see a downside to 1 year 1 million. The guys got mega power, sign him and let him battle for time against Diaz and Cabrera. If nothing else he would be a good backup with power coming off the bench, he would add depth.

Why don’t Cubs fans just realize that they suck and are destined to never win another World Series ever again?

Thanks for the chat Tim. Feels as if I won a lottery having been answered 3 of my questions 🙂

I like that guy that said the Cubs had one of the ‘top 5 benches’ in baseball. i hope he didn’t really stay up all night adding projected WAR values for every team…
stl_cards16
Yeah since most teams don’t go out looking for their bench. Most teams don’t know who will be on their bench this season. But at least they have a “top 5 bench” to make up for their bottom 5 line-up!

and the grand irony is that many Cubs’ fans have a disturbing desire to see Soriano and Fukudome get displaced by the likes of Nady, Tracy and Sammy Fuld.

It seems that Cub fans and Phillie fans were just a wee bit sensitive on today’s chat.
cubs1967
cubs fans were sensitive due to tim’s complete lack of injuries the cubs team went thru last year………..to say their injuries were normal is cluless……..all 4 starters were on the DL (zambrano twice)………..who many times were the yanks starters on the dl(zero). in addition aram missed 1/2 the season, soto missed 30 games, soriano missed 30 games and was hurt from may on, d lee missed 15 games, reed johnson(4th OF) missed 60 games and marmol had 1 Dl stint. granted not as much as the mets, but more than any team that made the playoffs and the cards had only kyle loshe injured in comparision to the cubs and still only 7.5 games out. just a really bad comment by tim; really wonder for a guy in the chicagoland suburbs what ’09 cubs season he was watching last year.

my god, just stop whining. Ok, you had injured players. Big freakin whoop. In 08, the Dodgers had 1/2 the team hit the DL, and we still made it to the LCS, including beating the Cubs. Good teams are able to sustain the production with minor league depth. It isnt our fault the Cubs couldnt do it last year…
Without any research, we had injuries to our SS, 2B, 3B(times about 5.. we had our opening day 3B finish the season at 2B), LF.. not to mention the pitching. Oh, our 2B is a FHOF, Furcal was our SS and Nomar, LaRoche, DeWitt, Blake, Abreu, etc all play 3B, and it continues for each position. Get over it, all good teams have bad years with injuries.. the really good ones are able to sustain the production
The funniest part is that a well known, open Cubs fan basically told everyone to stop complaining..
Damn, the whiners.
ThinkBlue10
why didnt you cubs fans just drop it. it was pretty irritating seeing these cub fans argue.
