Just an overall statement on the Marlins management…I’m think their management in great. Larry Beinfest and Michael Hill are really good GM’s.
I don’t think that Mike Lamb will make the team but this just reminded me of their great organization and how they win and have such a great system and team with no payroll and no fan base. They have possibly the second best player in the game in Hanley and they just always succeed.

Is it just me or is Florida a horrible place to own any sports team? Fans there certainly seem to be few and far between even when they have a good team.

Well the players love it. No pressure, no media. Just a really fun place to play. Just a really impressive team and organization.
I hear the TV ratings for Marlins games are near the top in the majors. People just don’t go to games because of the hot sun and constant threat of rain. A problem that will be remedied when their new stadium opens in 2012.

Thats a good point. Maybe most residents who love Baseball live in the Florida suburbs like Delrae, Jupiter, Orlando, Talahasse, and a lot of other nice cities and towns where the old and young live have trouble getting to the ballpark. Florida is a big state. Florida is also a place where a lot of people to go to retire so the retired who don’t feel like leaving their area could just watch it on tv. Really good point man really good point.

I can’t wait to read the Post tomorrow, about how the Mets failed to sign Mike Lamb.

Gotta like the Fish, and Lamb has utility experience at least.

I think he was signed more for his versititly rather than his bat because he’s not that good of a hitter, if you ask me. I think Cantu’s job is safe.
fishfan1993
he is lefty hitter who can play from the bench. 277Career batting avg not bad.

Inconsequential signing… I’d be surprised if he’s with the org at the AS Break.
