Well they wanted that back up middle infielder and they got it.

Why weren’t the rangers after him?
EdinsonPickle
Maybe they were, they may not have been pursuing him too hard though, I have a feeling that Augie Ojeda will end up with the Rangers though. I think they are focusing harder on him.

who are the giants going to get now?
SolidarityInSF
I suspect it’s going to be cash, and I can’t decide if I’d rather see them pick up a fringe prospect. We’ll see.

I’m not sure how Frandsen will help the Sox but it’s depth.

Shoulda just waived him, right Spandemonium?
At the very least they got some cash for a guy who was never going to make it with the Giants. He is a perfect change of scenery guy.
I wish the Giants could have found some use for him, I think he’s a promising player. I hope he succeeds in Boston.

Guy has always tried so hard to succeed in SF and it’s too bad he couldn’t find a place here. I hope the Red Sox give him the shot he deserves.
My brother’s friend went to Bellarmine Prep with him and when he hung out with us he was always the most cordial, classy guy, even when he was at MLB level.

He does seem like a nice guy. I sincerely hope he does well and proves Sabes and Bochy wrong. His attitude got in the way when he didn’t get an opportunity. He kept getting passed over for the likes of Eugenio Velez and Emmanuel Burriss. I can’t blame him for that at all.

He’s obviously a good guy, and playing for the Giants met a lot to him, but I think he was trying TOO hard. Getting jitters at the big league level after a call-up isn’t uncommon, but he could never seem to get it together, which is a shame. Best of luck to him.

Kevin Frandsen was supposed to break out 3 different times but never did albeit one of those times was when we were expected to lose 100 games and he tore his achillies. Frandsen never panned out and it was sad to see him fight and fight but never truely get over the hump
