what about the mets. its a pitcher’s park and they have an open spot in their rotation.

Comerica Park is somewhat of a pitcher’s park and he still did horrible there.

Somewhat of a pitchers park? I would argue it is the most pitcher friendly park in the AL and would probably get a top 5 vote for most pitcher friendly in the MLB. But so is Safeco so which is more pitcher friendly? I always thought it was Comerica but I could be wrong.

Comerica might be more pitcher friendly but Seattle’s defense is way more pitcher friendly than Detroit’s so if he’s smart he’ll sign back with the M’s and hopefully put up good numbers again.

I wish people would actually check with the Twins before offering up Liriano as a closer. They’re not going to use him that way because his issues the past year or two have come largely within his hat, not his sleeve, and quite a bit of what separates good closers from other guys happens in the hat. If he fails in the rotation he won’t be trusted with the ninth, but if he returns to 2006 there’s no way they don’t start him every five days.
If it turns out he can’t stay healthy or effective then maybe they give him a look in the pen, but that sort of change wouldn’t happen for months.
