The Moeller signing makes me wonder if Cervelli is still hurt.

Welcome back Chad.

Good to have Chad back. I thought he handled the pitching staff pretty well when he was here.

Man, does Chad Moeller suck as a hitter.
A career line of .226/.288/.351 in 1524 plate appearances, a .277 wOBA and a 64 wRC+.
Over the course of his career, he’s been worth roughly -26.5 runs per 600 PA. He must be like the Bagger Vance of gamecalling and staff handling to make up for his joke of a bat.

As outdated as that metaphor is, it may be the most perfect description of anything ever.

Is it sad that I’m just eighteen and my metaphors and pop culture references are outdated? I need to study up, I suppose.

I’m barely 20 and I think Bagger Vance is kick-ass, one of my favorites.

Moeller was Ben Sheets personal catcher the year he broke out – Sheets, not Moeller; although Moeller hit for the cycle that year. In one game, not the entire season. Just thought I’d clarify because we are talking about Chad Moeller here.
Amazing that this guy sticks around. He must have one heck of a head for the game, because the skills aren’t there.

Lovely reference, dude.
From what I understand though, he’s that type of catcher that pitchers love working with.
