am i the only one who thinks this year’s draft is lacking in elite talent? lots of depth, but nothing really stand-out-ish.

Bryce Harper doesn’t stand out ? Taillon might be elite-ish as well.

i said lacking, not depleted.

This is a great year for right-handed pitching. Taillon is an elite prospect, and a few other guys might qualify as well.

Anyone think the Pirates will actually go for this guy? Or will they pick someone with more “signability?”

Personally i think the Pirates of old wouldn’t sign him. But with the new management I do believe they go after this guy rather than Taillon. Although he might be the best pitching prospect in the draft he just graduated high school. And the Pirates need a pitcher who is old enough to make an impact in 2 years. Because I’m sure management knows how long true Pirate fans have been dreading a winning season. You’ll see when the Pirates call Pomeranzs name during the draft. Let’s Go Bucs!
