If the angels try and put wood through waviers which i doubt i hope he would slip far down to the yankees or for them to make a trade for him what do you think it would take?
Yankees420
Probably McAllister or Nova, because I think (although I’m not positive) that Kazmir’s contract is up after next season and a close to MLB ready MOR pitcher would probably appeal to the Angels in a trade for Wood.
aap212
He wouldn’t slip nearly down to the Yankees.

Why in the world would the Yankees claim Wood when they have Rodriguez under contract at 3B through 2016?
MARTIN
BECAUSE WOOD CAN PLAY 1ST SS & 3RD BEING ABLE TO GIVE A DAY OFF TO JETER AROD AND TEX SO ADDING WOOD WOULDNT BE SUCH A BAD IDEA
Zack23
Not typing with caps lock on wouldn’t be such a bad idea either

Because i doubt Alex is going to play 160 games at third a year and wood could spot start at third and maybe he could play left just thinking here
aap212
He needs to go somewhere where he’ll actually play every day. The Angels have never given him a full shot until this year, despite the dozen times he earned it. Going somewhere to be a sub is not the answer.

aap212 already said it, but yeah, immediately throwing Wood into a reserve role is a tremendous waste of his potential. The Angels might as well be patient with him, because I have a feeling that once he gets a bit more comfortable, he’ll become a more than adequate 3B. It’d be disappointing for me, as a baseball fan, to see a guy with this kind of potential relegated to the bench at 25.

Considering how Jenks has been pitching lately I doubt I’d miss him, however the return we could get for him would be quite low in his current state, thus I personally would rather see him stick around in the hopes we see a rebound to his peak performance, despite how unlikely that is.
Even if it didn’t end up helping his performance, I’d love to see him slim down, it would at least show he’s trying to improve.
Kevin Chambers
At least he stopped drinking.
aap212
Maybe he should go back to drinking. He walked fewer people then.

If Mike Scioscia honestly does not understand options, that is unbelievably embarrassing.

Prince Fielder is headed to the HOF with that body. The naysayers will be proven “right” when he is 36 years old and fading out of baseball, which +500 career HRs.
