I’d like to see the Mets snag Sherril. If he can bounce back, he’d really help our overworked ‘pen.

Hamilton is the real deal. When he’s healthy and on that field this is what he can do. Damn every team would love to have him.

Brett Myers and Brandon Lyon with Chia-Jen-Lo to the Mets for Daniel Murphy and Wilmor Flores
Very very Fair trade both have Playoff XP and would help your club.

Umm no.

I think that would favor the Astros a bit much. Maybe Lyon and Myers for Robert Carson and Reese Havens with salary arrangements and PTBNL involved.

I would like to see the Padres make a run at Meyers. He has a fairly low salary for the next 2 years which should be manageable, and Petco can only help his numbers. The Padres have lots of young arms to use for a couple of solid trades, that would help them make a solid push deep into the playoffs.

Brett Myers is inked to a one-year deal right now…

i believe he has a very favorable option

George Sherrill pitched the last two nights for the Dodgers. How can he do that if he’s been out righted off of the roster? That’s not sarcasm; I really want to know how a player who is no longer rostered is allowed to pitch.

Because when a player is designated to assignment he is still on the roster for 10 days. The team has 10 days to trade or release him. If he clears waivers then he is released which is why many teams dont trade for a player who has been designated for assignment because they can get him for a pro-rated salary and not have to give up anything. I said more than I probably needed to but I like talking about GM related stuff.

I could see the Rays trading for Sherrill for a low level player or cash consideration. His numbers aren’t good but they would only use him as a LOOGY(where his numbers are very good. He won’t cost much and knows the AL East very well.

You guys are crazy to want George Sherill. The guy is a complete bust. If he somehow happens to wind up on your team, be prepared to suffer!!! Dont say no one warned u.

He pitched phenomenal for the Dodgers last season, no idea what happened. Any Dodger fans wanna fill me in what he’s doing that he went from .65 ERA with your team to 7+?
