Phils offseason moves really being exposed- keeping Dobbs, signing Castro, Baez, and Contreras who all suck and trading away Lee- bring Gillick back!

I sure hope they weren’t expecting him to hit any higher than that. Anything over that .198 is sheer bonus with him.

Gillick had a few clunkers but he also got rid of David Bell, Vicente Padilla and Bobby Abreu not to mentioned added Moyer, Dobbs, Lidge, who played huge rolls in the 2008 World Series Champion team plus Kyle Lohse, Tadahito Iguchi and Aaron Rowand who played big rolls in the 2007 NL Eastern Division championship.
Amaro traded Lee for a return of peanuts, the Phillies window to compete is growing smaller and smaller, he should have went all for it this year. I don’t think Lee necessarily would have guareented a spot in the postseason, but it would have shown the Phillies were not taking any chances. I don’t think anyone could have imagined the number of injuries the Phillies had this season. I also was not a fan of the three years given to Ibanez due to his age.
