????….wow
Do you think we can get a pack of Juicy Fruit for him?
Ryan
that’s a little bit much… maybe splitting a pack would do it

Alright, now Dayton Moore please jump in and see what TB would offer for Soria.

Well, considering he’s given up 12 hits in his last 5 appearances(5+ innings), I think it’s safe to say it won’t be this week. Rays need a LOOGY or a righty who can get lefties out. Qualls is neither this year.

Maybe the Rays see something they can fix. Qualls had been a decent reliever until this year, so they probably figure he can be again. Sometimes it’s like rolling a snowball down the hill-you start off slow, then everything spins out of control, and nothing you try can get you back to where you were, pressure mounts, confidence is shattered. Pitchers can’t compete when their confidence on the mound is gone. That’s probably where Qualls is about now.
Qualls would be worth a gamble, but don’t give too much up for him.

Chad Qualls?! Have they seen him?

I would trade Qualls for a backup bullpen catcher and a jock strap. He is one piece to the disaster that is the D’Backs bullpen. I miss the days when it went Cruz, Lyon, Valverde in the 7th, 8th, and 9th. That bullpen closed doors, this one blows 5 run leads. Good bullpens don’t come cheap, my beloved franchise needs to learn that ASAP.
