I think it would be fitting, if Lowell retired as a Red Sock. Plus, honestly, is Lowell really an upgrade over the in house options of the Tigers and Rangers.
Lets_Go_Red_Sox
I can say with 100% certainty that Lowell is better than Jeff larish, Ramon Santiago, don Kelly and Scott sizemore, yes
Dave_Gershman
I’m going to have to disagree. Defensively, speed, and with Will Rhymes,
they can probably provide better than Lowell.
Civilization
You’d probably be 100% wrong. I’ll give you Jeff Larish and Don Kelly, but I doubt Lowell is much of an upgrade over Santiago or Sizemore. Both of those guys can play some decent defense and Sizemore should bat better then what he’s shown so far…
Lets_Go_Red_Sox
Lol ok keep telling yourself that
mauerfan
Lowell is trash.
eman
Amamzing the ridiculous comments people make
Lets_Go_Red_Sox
I’d rather just keep him at this point as beltre and youk are both banged up, rather than dump him for a random nothing of a prospect….
verlander
Eh. I’m not crying over the possibility of losing out on Mike Lowell.
verlander
someone on MTS said Phil Rogers on MLBN said the Tigers were “expressing interest” in Hunter Pence of Houston.
Motor_City_Bombshell
That in my mind would be an intriguing addition, to say the least. I’d prefer him over Dunn, isn’t he also under team control for a couple more seasons too?
verlander
Rotoworld says he is: 2010: Super Two Arb. Eligible, 2011-13: Arb. Eligible
sportsnut969
They need to go out and get Peralta from Cleveland he can play 3rd and SS and leads all AL 3rd baseman in fielding percentage as of right now.
AZ Cubnut
Any Chance if they send over some excellent pizza, the Cubs can get the Tiggers to take Lilly and any of these (The Fuke, The Rot, Fontenblow)??? PLEASE take them. Jeff Baker may make more sense…..

As a Tigers fan I hope Dombrowski is ignoring calls from the cubs. Unless they are willing to trade us Aramis Ramirez.
Jeff Westcott
Aramis Ramirez is hitting .227 and has an OPS of .723, and oh yeah dude has a $14.6 Million PLAYER option for next year. With all the bad contracts finally coming off the books after this season why on earth would the Tigers want to go anywhere near that?
verlander
I really hope Dombrowski is on the phone right now with somebody. Anybody.
Gerald Laird for a sack of used baseballs.
