Tyler
HAHAHAHA HE JUST GOT BACK FROM THE DL!!! WELL THAT SUCKS!!
sdsuphilip
Well Bochy isn’t as retarded as I thought apparently. Then again he basically forced Sabean to trade Molina as he was getting most the time at catcher over posey
Thumbnose
Jeeze, this was the guy that was supposed to make us forget about not resigning Brad Penny. No one saw this coming.
Ha!
John
Do you think Todd knew that his appearance yesterday was a “do or die” situation? Man, what pressure.

about time…I saw Wellemeyer’s game in LA in April. He gave up 6 runs before recording his 4th out. This guy has NO composure on the mound and doesn’t deserve to pitch in the big leagues. Hopefully the Dodgers pick his sorry butt up.

If it means SF takes on Sherrill, they should jump all over it…

He really didn’t pitch THAT poorly in his return. Even the Braves announcers said that two of the hits were on pitcher’s pitches. Unlucky way to come back from the DL, I reckon.

He should probably beg the Cardinals to take him back so he can reunite with Dave Duncan. Wonder if Duncan has enough magic fairy dust left to fix Wellemeyer?
mrsjohnmiltonrocks
He was with St. Louis last year, and Duncan showed no signs of fixing him them. He was awful.

When I read this I thought the same thing I did when Denny Bautista was DFA’d and when Buster Posey was called up, “What took so damn long, Sabes?”
blackandorangepride
you know I think we fixed the problems with our bullpen we got rid of the horrible pitchers. Wellemeyer was awful he was even worse on the road he had a 10.07 ERA he had to go there was no one else who could leave on that pitching staff that was worse than him.
Will
Todd Wellemeyer should only be a relief pitcher. I don’t understand why teams try to make him into a starter when he is not. I can guarantee you some team will pick him, put him in AAA, and hope that he rediscovers his stuff.
haymaker9
He was just a place-holder until Mad-Bum was ready to enter the rotation. Mission accomplished.

The Well is dry…
blackandorangepride
if anyone decides to pick him up don’t use him on the road use him strictly at home
humbb
Absolutely
… and vice versa.

I think the White Sox should get him for some iffy insurance in case Freddy or someone else biffs it the rest of the way. I mean he is a proven arm that has pitched in the majors and in a pennant chasing situation. If you can get him for league minimum then you really have nothing to lose.
