Nice interview, Span! I didn’t even know you had a blog.

Ross isn’t as good as that article makes him out to be. I’m close to 100% certain that he’d be overexposed and fail with more playing time, as he has in the past. He’s still one of, if not the best back-up catcher in the Majors.

Absolutely loved the Hardball piece comparing teams to simpsons characters, i didn’t like the jays to frank grimes comparison. but rather frank grimes then barney or lionel hutz!

Better than Baltimore being compared to the Crazy Cat Lady.

Some of those Simpsons comparisons are hilarious, some of them are a bit of a stretch. Some of them are just plain lazy, but mad props for using “cromulent” in a sentence.

Thanks, much appreciated. And you know!

I don’t see the Cubs spending too much if anything on bullpen help. They seem content to use young guys. The back end of Cashner, Marshall and Marmol is pretty good and they are only going to get better.

HAHAHA! I love the Cubs to Homer Simpson comparison. I was at the All-Star game this year and a drunk cubs fan sat in front of me yelling about how the Cubs were still OK…
