No way on earth does Wright get traded, but if he does, I hope he goes to a city with a more appreciative fan base.
Met fans are the flakiest on earth.

pardon us Mets fans, but we actually love Wright in NY…It doesn’t make us that happy when he K’s 4 times in a game for 2 weeks straight and then hits 2 home runs in a game and 5 home runs in a week followed by a 0-24 streak. We definetly appreciate David Wright.

That illustrates why Wright is overated. His numbers on the whole are somewhat hollow. He’ll kill mediocre pitching and then disappear against good pitching. All these trades that are bandied about for 2&3 prospects shock me all the time. He’s a good player but this superstar tag is way overhyped. Defensively, he’s benefited from having Ike Davis at first to save him on many of his throws. But we all love him

If David Wright is over-rated, its not his fault. I’ve actually met David twice, once in 2005 and then in 2009. And both times. He’s been down to earth and humble. Honestly u put David Wright on the Phillies or Yankees and people are talking MVP. for the past 2 years he’s been in a barren lineup, in a cavern of a ballpark, with all the pressure of being the savior of the franchise.
I would blame the management & ny media for trying shove Wright down our throats as the Met’s version of Jeter. I think if he just relaxed and went back to playing his game, he hits .330 with 25 HR and 110 RBI. I can’t excuse the sidearm delivery on his throws though. Everyone has pointed that out and he continues to chuck em out there like that …not sure if he has an issue with his shoulder he has been keeping under wraps.

Not the Yankees. We already have two long-term options beyond 2011, and if Slade Heathcott develops and takes Nicky’s spot then the Yankees outfield is gonna be good and young, yes Granderson is still gonna be fairly young

The first is Swisher, the second Granderson.

31 when Nick leaves. A player starts declining around 33 or so. We can get a couple of good years out of him.

All I’m saying is that the difference between Granderson and Swisher is less than four months, so saying that Granderson is going to be fairly young implies that Swisher will be noticeably older, when it’s actually only a few months.
