BACON!
I’m pretty sure Sammy still used a cutoff milk carton in right field for the cubs.

i heard Omar was actually tipped to Sosa. he is a good scout though, just a bad GM.

I don’t think he’s a bad GM. Jeff Wilpon is a bad GM.

come on man, the Wilpons don’t really mettle. they’ve been asking the GM candidates who they are interviewing about this situation and the candidates said there’s nothing different from owners they previously worked for. Sure, they’re involved, but wouldn’t you wanna be if you owned a franchise? I wouldn’t call it mettling.

mrmet128 – if u were interviewing for a job, lets say they even asked that question
(WHICH I HIGHLY DOUBT) would u tell ur prospective employer he was meddling too much and to back the F up. there are HUNDREDS of articles with people saying that the wilpons meddle too much. u must either be related or employed by them.

the wilpons are hands down one of the worst owners in baseball, the quicker they can get someone with cojones to tell Jeff wilpon to back the F up, the quicker they can go back to respectability. Omar was not the kind of guy to do that, especially since the mets for the past 15 years have helped him rise up the ranks. he owes alot to fred wilpon and will never betray him. thats why they had him as a pinata. they knew he would never tell on them.

Larry Beinfest isn’t the Marlins GM. He is the President of Baseball Operations. Mike Hill is Floridas GM.
