I’m hoping Jesus can save my Padres. that seems logical enough.

If you can find a spot for a guy who makes Uggla and Dunn look like gold glove fielders. Guzman can hit, but that guy is the ultimate hack in the field wherever you put him. I saw a couple of his games at AAA last year when he was playing 1B, and he did not make any errors, but he looked truly awful. Maybe his name-power will give him good mojo

I would have thought Jesus would find a home in the AL. The guy can hit. When you look at all the teams this year who had DH by AAA committee, I figured he’d get a long look from someone. Padres don’t seem like a great fit. The guy is truly an awful, awful fielder at any position.

Agree. I don’t understand how this guy doesn’t restrict himself only to signing with an AL team. That’s virtually the only way he’s going to stick at the major league level. Team him up with someone like Thome to form a platoon at DH (not sure what team has the roster flexibility to have a DH platoon) and that’s a pretty potent tandem.
