“The D’Backs signed Sean Burroughs . . .”
Fail.
qudjy1
X2. Jeez.. I know its only a minor league deal, but cmon…
azdsnd
List of players acquired thus far by KT:
– Geoff Blum
– Johan Jaime
– Juan Miranda
– Sean Burroughs
3/4 of them – Blum, Miranda, and Burroughs – were former KT players at his previous jobs (Blum and Burroughs in SD, Miranda in NY). I’m not liking this trend.
Dave_Gershman
That would be Juan Jaime, and he was dominant before TJ…Worth the risk.
azdsnd
Meh. Johan Jaime is a D-backs DSL’er, just mixed the two up.
Brandon Woodworth
Looks like the Dayton Moore strategy.
vtadave
Yep, those names should have been:
– Cliff Lee
– Paul Konerko
– Jayson Werth
– Rafael Soriano
Relax guys, it’s November 22.
jdub220
Don’t forget Brian Sweeney.
GasLampGuru
This is vintage KT. He gets emotionally attached to guys and can’t let go. DBacks fans have a season of Burroughs at 3B, Blum at 2B and Miranda at 1B to look forward to. But hey, at least they’ll trade their big bats for middle relievers and a couple starters.

White Sox claimed him from themselves? 😉
HummBaby
Talk about being indecisive.
Chicago Boy
Really the whitesox claimed someone from their own organization????? Talk about a typo.
Dave_Gershman
Take it easy guys, Ben is one of the most hardest working guys on MLBTR and he writes a thread typo-less 999-1000 of the time, so give him a break. People make mistakes.
azdsnd
Like using a double superlative? 🙂
It’s merely joking. If people didn’t respect the work that was done on this site, they wouldn’t come to it.
elscorcho the marlin
nice double superlative drop.
Matt Manzella
You really need to stop taking this sh!t so seriously.
HARDS
I know this is probably a mistake but I find it hard to believe that the White Sox claimed a player from the White Sox?
AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs
Waldis Joaquin claimed the White Sox from Waldis Joaquin?
(trying something different)
Dave_Gershman
I’ve always been a fan of Waldis Joaquin, but thats mostly because I just like his name…Just being honest.
roberty
In 2007 I was rooting for a Cleveland/Colorado World Series, mostly because I liked the idea of a Fausto Carmona vs Ubaldo Jimenez showdown. The two coolest names in all of baseball going head to head. Of course, Ambiorix Burgos would disagree.
Dave_Gershman
Callix Crabbe would be very mad at you right now
HummBaby
What about Coco Crisp? Willy Mo Pena.
Dave_Gershman
Sugar Ray Marimon
Ryan
Wonderful Terrific Monds III FTW!
Ian_Smell
Too bad he beats women.
YourBase
Who?
Ian_Smell
Burgos.
jondogg2010
What a claim. I wonder what other players the White Sox will claim from themselves =)
Dylan James
Joaquin is pretty good. Throws really hard and has very good stuff. Can be wild though.
55saveslives
He throws hard but has worse control than Ebbie Calvin Laloosh!
azdsnd
How about Steve Dalkowski?
No Gimmicks
Has anyone pointed out yet that it says the White Sox claimed a player from the White Sox? Just wondering
vtadave
Yes…they have. We know. Thanks.
vtadave
Sean Burroughs? Nice. Figured he was managing a tire shop by now, so it’s good to see a guy still chasing his dream no matter how long the odds.
jdub220
“According to the just released minor league transactions, the #Diamondbacks have signed 3B Sean Burroughs. I can’t make this s**t up.”
I LOL’d so hard at the last sentence. Well, actually, the first sentence was pretty funny too…
Scott
Hey KT… you want your golden boy Chase Headley too?
jdub220
He put up a 4.6 WAR year and you’re ready to dump him? I’m not KT, but sure, we’ll take him…
Joe Garcia
Lol players form Arizona going to SD, and SD people going to AZ LOl
Matt Manzella
Joaquin was ranked as one of the Giants top 10 prospects in a lot of different places at the beginning of the year. Nice pick up by the Sox, glad somebody’s doing their homework over there.
firealyellon
hard throwing 24 year old working with Don Cooper. Yumm-O.
timmah_55
Joaquin might be done for next year after going through back surgery. Nice pick up for 2012-13
Matt Manzella
I’ve read nothing of back surgery, you must be thinking of someone else. He did have elbow surgery in 2006.
moonraker45
Nice pick up by the braves.. i know Bowman is 25 in AA, but he really did have an impressive year.. He was a former highly touted prospect, injuries derailed him. but hopefully someone gives him a shot.
Jeff Wise
I suppose the M’s signed Luis Rodriguez for insurance since Wilson is always hurt but this guy really isn’t a great hitter. His fielding is pretty good though.
