Who would have ever thought this was a possibility?

Doubront and Bowden for Reynolds. Why? Why the hell not.C-Salty1B-Gonzalez2B-Pedroia3B-YoukilisSS-LowrieLF-WerthCF-EllsburyRF-Drewand your DH…Mark Reynolds
disclaimer: I am a Yankee fan.

lol what about Mr. Ortiz?
AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs
Big Papi be lowell’d off to be the big bat off the bench.
Dave_Gershman
Why would Big Papi be lowelled? that doesn’t make any sense…He’s still really productive.

David C. Ruckman
Why not? Four big reasons:
1) Too many strikeouts
2) Bad defense
3) Kevin Youkilis
4) David Ortiz
Want four more?
5) Too expensive for too little output
6) Low batting average/BABIP
7) Crowded outfield situation, especially if Boston continues pursuit of Crawford/Werth
8) STRIKEOUTS – it bears repeating because he is historically bad at whiffing.
HipNip2009
Dream away. Big Papi will be the DH and they aren’t going to sign Werth. I noticed you didn’t list the pitching, which is Boston’s biggest question mark.

I think Reynolds would fit for the Cardinals. We need more power. Even with all the k’s he’s still productive. He could be protection in the 5th or 6th place in the order.
AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs
Bat him between Holliday and Pujols and maybe he will get good pitches… oh wait, he will still strike out!

We need power. He’s got lots.
Tony P.
You are going to be extremely frustrated throughout the season watching this guy strand as many runners as he does.
cards2WS
Pujols bats 3rd, and Holliday bats 4th. Pujols would have to bat fifth, Holliday would have to bat third, and Reynolds forth for that to happen. Pujols and Holliday are 3 and 4. Mark would be 5th to 6th.

Can we stop all this garbage about Tillman or Britton for Reynolds?
The O’s need the young pitching and both have huge upside. Not to mention Britton is a sinker-baller which is just the kind of pitcher you need in Camden Yards.
David C. Ruckman
A more likely scenario involves Dave Hernandez and ___________, I agree. Chris Tillman has SP1/SP2 upside, so the Orioles would seem reticent to part with such potential. If not Reynolds, then Kouzmanoff becomes a big target for Baltimore — assuming Beltre accepts the offer from Oakland.

They could sign Encarnation though I have a strange feeling Arizona will do that after Reynolds is traded. I’m very certain he’ll be traded to Baltimore maybe for Hernandez, Pelzer and Reimold

Didn’t Kevin Towers say last week or two that he wasn’t going to make any Intra-division (within division) trades?
If that’s true, then why were the Padres ever considered a landing spot?

2 bullpen arms >_>? thats all he wants lmao. Im surprised he’s still with the team.
