If the Orioles are going to make token offers to every big free agent, they had better make friends with Scott Boras and be prepared to overpay. It worked for Detroit

R.I.P #10. There will never be another like you.

Lets go I hope the Yankees get Lee. Can’t wait till cashman throws that big contract at him.

Actually Ryan’s probably one of the better options at short for any team that already has a decent offense. Sure the guy can barely hit his own weight, but he does have one of the better gloves at short. Just stick him in the number 8 hole in the batting order and he’ll be fine.

Baltimore had to know that offer had no chance of being accepted by Dunn. If he was asking for 60 mil, and Vmart got 50, they had to know it would end up being somewhere in between.

Agreed i seriously hope that macphail doesn’t think that he can keep his job when he tells people he made offers but people didn’t want to come here when he made an extreme low ball like that. makes me wonder how much he offered konerko.

Zimmerman wants a Tulowitzky-type deal. Well who the heck wouldn’t?

“Yea guys…I wouldn’t mind a $160 million paycheck…. I mean, I guess it would be alright.”

Sad day in Chicago.

nice job Orioles front office! That’s some real good hustle offering Dunn $8 mil less than you offered V-Mart!

Another typical move by the Orioles, MacPhail tried to pull this a couple of years ago by offering the minimal to Tex, I’m starting to feel that MacPhail doesn’t have the courage to put the money out there.
Mac
don’t think that was a minimal offer to Tex, i think it was 7 or 8 years 140 mill if im not mistaken.

RIP Santo.
I cringe whenver I hear Hank Steinbrenner made a comment on something. Hey Hal can you PLEASE buy a soccer or WNBA team and let your brother control it 100%? Keep him busy.
Mac
if the Orioles dont’ at least offer Konerko 4 years 50-60 million then Mcphail needs to be fired, hes the best option left. If were ever gonna compete we need a big bat, someone to bat behind Nick. Whens the last time we had someone hit 30+ hrs?? I’m tired of hearing, thier interested in someone or they made offer and its always just smoke blown up our a**

I agree Mac. The Orioles have to just put the money out there, right now they have to over spend if they want anything. I wasn’t really a fan of Dunn coming here, but the one thing we picked up is that Andy Mcphail isn’t really putting the best deals out on the table. Maybe we can get something in a trade, free agency isn’t really a friend to the Orioles
