Drew is a good player and he still has time to become great. But I really thought by this point, his career comparables would be better than JJ Hardy, Jeff Blauser, and Khalil Greene. I expected more.

Drew is a stud, the guy has alot of power for a middle infielder. Couldnt wait till he hit the market but nevermind

Drew is still hitting the open market at the same time he normally would. I highly doubt the DBacks will pick up his 10M option…that is out of their budget and they no that there is no way he will sign a long term deal with them. Drew will be the top free agent shortstop available, with Hanley and Tulo already locked in for a number of years. I see Drew in pinstripes in 2013…

How is 10MM out of their price range? They only have 21MM committed, with only Montero, Saunders, Gutierrez, and Abreu being in arb. Boras will most likely be the one to turn down the option, not the D’Backs.
