J. Alora
One of the funnest guys to root for in the game.
Grab some pine, meat.
He’s easily worth it, its a shame he didn’t break out sooner or he coulda been making the big bucks now.

im stoked! torres is speedy, and is a beast with the glove. perfect for our center field. he’s caught balls that were in pat burrells territory multiple times. and he seems like he is always hitting doubles.

i wish andres wasnt so old, we dont know if hes gonna pull off another spectacular year. His first at 32 years of age. I hope belt and crawford perform well so they can inject some youth.

Last year salaries, showed that do it all Torres earned a roughly 400G, while Aaron Rowand earned a staggering 13.6M sitting on the bench. How sad is that!!!!

I hear ya, Rowand doesnt suck, but deserves around what Torres got this year or last year if you are that bitter towards him. In noway shape or form has he done anything in his career for Sabean to give him a contract with that much money guaranteed.

If only we could pull off some sorta trade with Rowand like the Blue Jays did with Wells… Any gullible teams with bruised egos want to take him on? We only require speed in return. 🙂

Rowand is overrated, he is not suited in a huge ballpark as At&Tand Petco Park. He’s only good in smaller park like Citizen Bank, Coors Field, etc where a check swing hits you a homerun. He doesn’t deserve that kind of dough, plain and simple.

I watched torres have the worst spring training i have ever seen a player have last March so when he made the final roster not only was i concerned about this i was pissed off. Seriously every time he would come to the plate in spring it was 3 pitches 3 strikes go sit down every time he would come to the plate, so when he actually started producing i was flat out convinced it was just a different andres torres.. i dont think any of you realize how terrible this guy was before he got hot. it was like he became a different person and im so happy to have him back this year.

I believe he was diagnosed with ADD and after he was put on meds his game turned around. It was written about earlier in the season. Now lets just keep him on the right meds and hopefully we can get 2 more solid years out of him.

Players like Torres are why I moved to Scottsdale to watch Spring Training.
