I could see the Braves being interested in signing him to minor league deal. His flexibility as a defensive OF is in line with what they need. It’d be better if he could hit, of course, but I guess that’s why he doesn’t have a major league deal already, huh?
Justin
They already have better options than this 31 yr old Mets’ cast-off.

Well yeah, but we are talking a minor league deal that has no downside and can be depth in case all the not-so-hot-looking CF options they have fizzle.

Yes, I know this guy isn’t anything special. But why not give him a shot? It is like the Moneyball argument with Chad Bradford: No matter his age, mechanics, or whatever, he is getting something done in AAA, and there is a chance that could translate to MLB.

Slow day on mlbtr….I’m sure there’s 100 other guys out there that are weighing their minor league contract options.

Why not the Pirates?
tacko
18 HR’s and 320 BB in 4500 AB’s with average defense. This guy’s upside is a limited as it gets.

possibly with the ChiSox to compete with De Aza and Lillibridge for 4th outfield spot?
Slopeboy
With numbers like his, he has a better chance of walking on water than landing a MLB job.
