you wait, hes going to sign Justin Duchscherer, he has low risk high reward Theo signing all over him
qbass187
Justin Duescherer would be great. Bring him home to the team who drafted him.
bosox21
I’m pretty sure I read on this site a few weeks back that Duescherer wanted to start. I know injuries can occur whenever but I don’t see him signing on with Boston.
Slopeboy
Once again Theo gets beaten by the Yanks. Had he acted sooner, he could have signed Colon to a minor league deal.
Sniderlover
How do you know he didn’t? Theo could have tried to sign him but the fact Yanks don’t really have much of a rotation while the Red Sox is far better and Yankees would be far more attractive to Colon.
Colon has a very little chance of getting any chance to play there while he could win a job in spring training with the Yankees.

hahaha

Arguing for the sake of arguing! Ugh!
flickadave
I’m just surprised that Colon didn’t sign with the Phillies for less money.

You win the thread buddy.

Best post of the Day! Lol!

He did act sooner. He signed Colon to a minor league deal in 2008.

Touche!

Good point. The Yankees pretended to be interested in Lee to drive the price up but their main offseason target was Bartolo Colón. Mission accomplished.

Yes

I think Theo is all set with Colon. He was here a few years ago, and the fat little toad took his ball and went home. He just upped and left.

THEO!!! What do you mean your done????!!! You still got so much time, you still need to trade for Pujols and King Felix.. Wth theo I had more faith in you than this .. 🙁
Heres what I figured:
Drew, Paps, Scuturo, and Elsbury for Felix
Dice K, Cameron, and Fenway for Pujols K? And if they say no throw in Beckett and Lackey, and 25% ownership of the Sox, oh yea but than tell them they have to throw in Skip than…
Than we are gonna tell John to let us play our home games at Liverpool K?
Okay got that? Make it happen Chief, NOW GO!
jwredsox
You know if you’re going to attempt to make fun of Red Sox fans you could at least put a little effort in.
You're Killing Me Smalls
Or use the correct form of then….
John LeClair
I’m not making fun of anyone I’m having fun, I’m a Red Sox fan, and I didn’t put any effort into it, cause that would of taken to much time.
redsox4120
I hope to god this is sarcastic….
John LeClair
Obviously.. I’d only give up 10% of Red Sox ownership for Pujols 😉
start_wearing_purple
Come on. If the Red Sox were to get Pujols we’d only need to give up Nava and Albers because Theo is so awesome.
redsox4120
Justin Duescherer would be an awesome depth move, sure. But he wants to start and be on a major league club, not in the minors. That said, some team(s) who is desperate for a starter is going to offer him a major league contract and that’ll be the team he signs with.
Robert Poole
This is true. It’s too bad too because I’d take a healthy Duchscherer over Dice-K at this point.
