I remember in 2006 when Chris Shelton looked like he was gonna be the next super star in the game, then the calender changed to May and he started a slump. That slump is going on 5 years now.

Less Chris Sheltons and more Kent Tsujimotos.
Nothing against Shelton but he’s an org guy and the Mets have enough of those guys.
But signing a 22 year old with a 12.6 K/9 nobody has ever heard of is the kind of under the radar move that can actually pay off down the road.
Slopeboy
Don’t get your hopes too high, he’s coming from an Independent League. At age 21, someone would have signed him sooner if he had any worthwhile talent. Lets hope he gets past the first cuts in ST.
ripcurl2121
noone expects him to make the mets but at 22 all he has to do is go to binghampton, or st lucie and pitch well and all of a sudden you have another prospect. these are the good signings, not garbage like feliciano and shelton
ripcurl2121
+ 100000. all guys like shelton do is take at bats from guys that, you know, might actually ahve a future
Slopeboy
Feliciano should appear on that show “America can Dance”, as he shuffles off to Buffalo, again!
gursk1989
why not?
