#28! Lock it up!
East Coast Bias
For their minor league affiliate team?!
LifeLongYankeeFan
If World Series were won on paper the Yankees would have a lot more then 27. The Phillies and Red Sox aren’t automatically penciled into the World Series.
East Coast Bias
Agreed, but Ayala was signed to a minor league deal. Hence the comment…
Andy Ledford
Glad to see him back pitching. Highly doubt he gets a shot at the bigs this year with the yanks, but it could get him in the right direction for him to get back to the majors soon with the right organization.
The_Silver_Stacker
If he pitches well in the minors and yankees are looking for say a veteran utilityman he can be used in a deal then
Lunchbox45
Welcome to the bargain bin NYY, feel free to scrounge around

Is Prior even going to pitch this year?? I doubt it
thevoiceofbv
Prior pitched in the Independent League last year. That info and $1.80 will get us a cup of coffee….
flickadave
With Colon, Garcia, Prior and now Ayala to close, the Yankees’ AAA team is going to ROCK this year!
Fangaffes
Obvious desperation move to counter the Red Sox signing Aceves.
TrueYankeeFanNYC
Yeah there is no way we couldve signed Aceves. SMD.
East Coast Bias
SMD? What does that mean? Shaking my… I don’t wanna know…

if the Yankees hope to trade for a decent SP in ST they will likely trade from their strength, bullpen arms. if they do they will need other arms, like Ayala, to step into the breack. good move, Cashman!
basemonkey
wow. another blast from the past…
cayanksfan
The Yankees ARE definitely winning the World Series….in 2003.
Martin Wayne Guerrero
I was JUST thinking that lol
