Infield Fly
Players are really dropping off like flies this offseason/pre-season. Quite a changing of the guard!
Bryan
Thank you Scot!

Its a shame to see a player retire when he is still good enough to be the opening day starter for the pirates.
Chris Pruitt3
Hahahaha…
Alan Hanson S. Mafra
It’s sad he’s not able to play at a good anymore , but he will always be remembered as a lifelong Angel, perhaps the best setup man we had..
angelsfan67
Best setup man for a few years, not just for the Angels, but MLB.
NathanielS
Classy guy. Halos fans will miss him for a long time.
ryanfea
Thanks for all your work Scot!

What’s been a more sad story for the Angels fans this off-season, to see their players retire, or just to see nearly all the players they wanted sign or go somewhere else (aside from the Wells trade but with all due respect as of now, that’s a bad trade for them it seems).

What does this have to do with Scot Shields?
MB923
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe because Scot Shields was an Angel? And retired? Which I posted if you noticed.

Thanks, Scot. So goes the final member of my favorite all-time Angels team.

It’s difficult to watch the 8th and 9th of Angel games now after having it so good with the Shields/K-Rod combo for a few solid years. It was almost a given that the game was in the bag with those two guys. Then K-Rod started getting a bit wobbly and it’s been a mess since.

I thought he retired like 2 months ago.
mwagner26
I lol’d.

You hit like on all but 2 comments on here.

Active players from the 2002 Championship team down to five: Lackey, Figgins, K-Rod, Adam Kennedy and Jose Molina.

Glaus hasn’t retired yet.

Good luck in your retirement and thanks for the memories, Scot?
