My first firsties here…yay! Mahay has had a solid if not spectacular career (120 ERA+), especially in the last 5 years. I am surprised he did not have any suitors prior to Arizona. How did Oliver Perez get signed before this guy?!?!

The Dodgers have granted Ron Mahay his release…

He may turnout to be their best pitcher.

Mahay can’t be too bad. Reyes either since Boston released him after just 4 games after such a short time.

Basically, he was let go because of poor spring stats. The Dodgers have a pretty solid bullpen, already, although Kuo is their only lefty out of the pen. It wasn’t like they had a huge commitment to him, anyway, just a minor league deal. He’s a fine gamble for the D’Backs, who need any arms they can get to put in the bullpen – Mahay has long been a fine lefty arm.
