He’d be much more interesting if he was still Samuel Vasquez. I think it was 2008 he suddenly changed names and added 4 years to his age. A 26 year old who hasn’t had success in AA yet doesn’t seem like a great addition, though there’s always someone willing to take a chance on a hard thrower.

The Rangers are the best when it comes to getting the most out of hard throwing prospects. Although him already being a 26 year old in AA concerns me.

You know Alexi Ogando was 26-27 last year and that was his first year out of dominican league or a ball

Nolan Ryan will let him just throw. The pirate developmental program is very strict. I’ll bet he’ll be in the Rangers pen next year.

Maybe the Bucs organization should pick up the same concept as Nolan so they can actually get some good pitching on the MLB squad?
