That makes me like Vogalsong a bit more, such a great story this year. Even though he’s in his 30’s, I hope the Giants sign him for a 2 year contract.

Wow vogey was taught well in his first stint as a giant, it stayed with him 9 years later. Beatofficer is right, sign him for two years, a solid #4
RepOak
Why wouldn’t you accept a contract?! He’s in his 30’s and would have had job security. All because he couldn’t see himself a dodger..dumbass.
CaseyBlakeDeWitt
Well, it seems to have worked out just fine for him…

The words “Dodger” and “security” don’t go well together.

He told the Giants to match. They did. That’s not dumb. If he tried to go to the A’s, well that would be just downright foolish.

I just wish Eugeni0-for-31 and Uribe had shared Vogelsong’s beliefs
Bryce Maddox
Haha, yeah…the sad part is, I spent a couple months this winter trying to convince my friends Juan Uribe was a good signing. Oops…

Up until this year I doubt Vogelsong could see himself as pitching in the Majors period. Overall, he’s been a pretty horrible pitcher. To his credit he turned it around this year. The question is whether or not he’ll turn back into a pumpkin next season.
John W
Apparently you missed the part about him not wanting to be a Dodger. Now there is a team full of “pumpkins”.

To offer that much for a team (as well as owner) in financial distress, one would look to non washed mob money and ties to Jack McGurn (No Pun intended on pick of gangsters) for one who would be silly enough to offer up so much.
